Data Sheets And Safety Instructions for Hire & Sales Equipment from Concord Lifting Equipment
Data Sheets And Safety Instructions for Hire & Sales Equipment from Concord Lifting Equipment
Although all of our equipment goes out with safety instructions, we understand they can often get lost while on site. Below are instructions for the equipment we hire and sell at Concord Lifting Equipment. If for some reason you are unsure which instruction sheet is best for the equipment please do not hesitate to contact us, it is best you call the depot you hired from as they will easilly be able to identify the equipment you have on hire/have purchased from us and will be able to put you in the right direction for the relevant information. The majority of these instruction/data sheets have been provided to us by the Lifting Engineers Association (LEEA) but we have added some instructions direct from the manufacturers of some equipment and have added some of our own.
Remember whatever load you are lifting these core safety principles at all times
- Always secure the load / strap it or tie it down where possible
- Never have people go underneath something being lifted
- Always distribute the load evenly across all the lifting/access points
- Never exceed the safe working load of the equipment-if for some reason you cannot see the safe working load on the equipment refer to the Report of Thorough Examination provided to you with the equipment and it will state it there
- Remember the safe working load for certain types of equipment (i.e Genie Lifts) vary depending on the distance of the centre of the load from the back of the forks
These instructions and data sheets are very important the most important thing is that a competent person is operating the equipment-and remember if you are using equipment and it doesn’t seem to be working, don’t keep winding it up hoping it will fix itself! Refer to the safety instructions or call us and we can explain what to do.
